Have you ever laid under a mighty Oak tree on a hot day in the summer? Looking up and gazing at the huge green leaves that majestically sway in the summer breeze. Beautiful Oak with the acorn buds growing in the sun’s light. The huge branches covered with green leaves, providing protection from the damaging sun. The grass below feeling soft and supple. It’s so peaceful and serene.
Laying under the same tree in the Fall paints such a different picture. Those solid green mighty leaves are now bursting with color and design. Each leaf is unique and there is no other leaf exactly like another. The acorns dangle in a warm chestnut color and the sound of them plopping against the ground sounds intriguing and mysterious. Falling leaves exposing branches in preparation for the winter months when the snow falls and rests on the limbs. Even laying under the same tree now evokes a totally different feeling.
Same tree, different experiences.
The generalist will sell you anything you request. The generalist, of course, can provide you with an amazing experience much like the Summer Oak and will protect you by using a reputable supplier.
A professional specialist is like the Oak tree in the Fall.
We are all unique and there are no two professional travel consultants that are exactly the same. We are experts in our field and we, as individuals are as different as the Summer and Fall leaves. Our leaves tell a different story.
For example, I specialize in European custom itineraries that offer you a totally different and fantastic experience. The mighty Oak with the green leaves may get you a viewing of the Lipizzaner horses in Vienna whereas the bursting with unique design and flavor of the Oak in the Fall can provide you with a Lipizzaner Riding lesson.
A generalist will absolutely create a vacation of your choice and execute it perfectly but a Specialist creates those moments that, as I have said in the past, turn into stories and incredible memories because your story is unique, colorful and tailored specifically to you.
Welcome Fall. Have a wonderful week, Lisa
