It’s a risky thing to say for a travel agency.

We’re done talking Covid.

Yes, I know, it is a very risky thing to say for a travel agency.  No, I am not completely ignoring it, but I refuse to let the subject dominate or be the forecaster of how the year goes for 2022.

It’s been 2 years since this ugly beast crept into our lives and roared, scaring the pants off people, taking lives.  Varied departments for resources, different news platforms reporting different stories. I will be honest; I personally feel we are at the point of ridiculous.  Mom used to always say too many hands stirring the pot makes messy.

I am a very private person with my political views.

That may be hard to imagine, Lisa Fitzgerald a private person, but I am.  I believe in my own sanctuary and the thing that has helped me through the last two years is respect for others and respect for how others believe.  Turning conversations into a political battleground is just bad ju-ju and don’t you think we have all had enough of that?

I am extremely responsible, and I will (and do) talk about Covid with my clients because it’s really a hard-core slice of life now.  We live with it; we grow with the changes, and we adjust. Most importantly, we let YOU decide what is best for you and then provide you with the tools you need to make your own choices when you travel. I feel, like the Spanish flu of 1918, it will go one for three years

The point is that I am not going to write stories about it anymore. It’s a buzz kill. 

In 2022, Lisa & I are going to continue with what we have been doing for the past two years. We want to continue to inspire, we want to encourage our folks to get out there and teach you how to do it safely.   

I am going to continue to project my love of river cruising. I want to reach out to as many people as I can touch to talk and educate the public of all the opportunities out there for river cruising. I still believe everyone should try this mode of travel at least once in a lifetime. 

A dream takes shape and turns into a reality

I always reached for ideas to share the information, to be a learning platform for everyone who wants to learn. I took some time in 2021 to bring an idea to life and I have.  There are so many choices out there and most of the general public doesn’t know too much about the different river cruise companies and how they all are so very different from each other. They may look the same on the outside, but each company has a unique travel style and personality.   Then, add to that, how does the public know which river is the best to sail? Which rivers in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Egypt can you sail? Maybe you didn’t know you that was even possible. I collected all these ideas with two of my friends and an amazing web designer with an extensive background in travel to create a new website solely dedicated to the education of River Cruising.  It’s a beginning and we have some work still to do but we encourage you to stop by and visit our educational platform, Everything River Cruise.  You can visit the site by clicking here. Collins’s love for the oceans continues to grow with so many new cruise lines entering the ocean market that I bet you didn’t even know about.  It’s incredible to us that a group of people with a vision during Covid would take their ideas and their dreams to the table, design and bring a concept to life! Enter Virgin Voyages, Explora, Viking’s first expeditions ship, and Atlas.  During the course of this year, we will be talking more and more about your new ocean opportunities. 

Another subject too will be the smaller ocean cruise, all-inclusive experiences like Scenic’ s Eclipse and the brand-new Emerald Azzurra and Sakara. 

Collins absolutely adores Royal Caribbean.

She loves all the ships in that fleet, and I am so excited to join her and her husband on Jan 22, 2022 for a Caribbean Cruise on the Serenade of the Seas! We are going to come to you firsthand and show you how comfortable and safe sailing is today.  I also love the oceans and it’s been a hot minute since I have been on an ocean cruise, so I am super excited!  I am also committed to bringing only a carry on for our vacation! We will see how that goes. If it goes well, I will write a blog about what I put in a carry on for a 7-night vacation on a cruise.
